Second Round Interview with Corey Conners

Q. Just a few comments about the round today.

COREY CONNERS: Yeah, it was great. I hit the ball really well. Never really got myself out of position except for No. 10, where I drove it a little right. Other than that, it was really solid ball-striking. I was able to make some putts. Basically took care of the holes that you need to take care of, the par 5s, and No. 5, a short par 4, I was able to make birdie. Other than that, just kept it pretty simple. There's a few pins that are close to some slopes, so played a little safer on some shots, but struck it really well. So just tried to keep it simple and scored well.

Q. Are you going to change anything up or is everything working kind of the way you want it to work?

COREY CONNERS: Yeah, everything's working. Just keep working on the putting. Got some confidence after today rolling a bunch in. Yeah, just try and keep things as they are.

Q. How big would it be to win this for you?

COREY CONNERS: Yeah, it would be pretty big. I'm not trying to get too far ahead of myself. Any event that you have a chance is amazing. Yeah, to be a Monday qualifier and just pumped to be out here. Yeah, a win would be awesome, but we'll try and take care of business tomorrow and see where we are.

Q. What are you planning to do next week?

COREY CONNERS: Just back home, practicing, hanging out with my wife, take a little break. Got a couple events, the RBC Heritage hopefully get into and then Zurich Classic, playing with Mackenzie Hughes, so the plan is to just go home to Jupiter and relax.
