Volunteers: We Need You
Image
We are looking for volunteering enthusiasts with a passion to help and together create a fantastic Valero Texas Open experience for PGA TOUR players, corporate sponsors and spectators alike. You have the ability through your actions to help us create something special.

The success of the Valero Texas Open is due in large part to the volunteers who give generously of their time, talent and energy through our dynamic committees. You'll also play an important role in the tournament's charitable mission to raise funds and awareness for hundreds of worthy causes throughout San Antonio and the South Texas region.

[These three wonderful committees can really use your help:]

The Gallery Control committee are the marshals and extension of security guards for all of the PGA TOUR Players and Caddies at the Valero Texas Open. You’ll ensure fair play throughout the tournament and help manage crowd control inside and outside the ropes. Golf knowledge is helpful for this up-close view to all players and caddies. Gallery Control volunteers are required to sign up for shifts Wednesday through Sunday of tournament week. It could be hectic with large crowds, but you’ll be receiving a great experience inside the ropes at a PGA TOUR tournament.

Have a knack for being laser-focused and appreciate attention to detail? Join the ShotLink® committee and assist the PGA TOUR’s ShotLink® operations team while using the latest in technology from fairway lasers to tablet computers. Your services will provide real-time data and scoring of every shot made by the pros which will be prominently featured on PGATOUR.com, the PGA TOUR App and on the national and international television broadcasts.

Help us share some good ‘ol Texas hospitality with our sponsors, VIPs and spectators in some of the premier viewing areas around TPC San Antonio. The Hospitality committee provides a friendly, welcoming experience for guests as they arrive to the tournament – greeting guests, checking for proper credentials, scanning tickets and wristbanding them. As the saying goes, you’ll be the hostess with the mostess.
